When a child is born, from the moment of birth till 7 years, his motherboard is established. His software is being installed.

A child looks into her mother’s eyes at every experience. He finds it pleasant or unpleasant in the view of his mother’s reactions from a particular perspective. If we extra plot, we find that he absorbs minute experiences in his mind and this process goes on for 7 years. A child accepts real happenings no discrimination of right or wrong; he cannot differentiate between virtue and sin. He has no concept of heaven or hell. He knows only loveable and non-lovable. He likes or doesn’t like anything. He doesn’t accept any advice.

Whatever you dream for your child to become, create that in the form of a lovable experience at your home. Till 7 years, this will only work. Till this aging mother is only a nurse and father a caretaker. No admonishment till 7 years, no physical punishment otherwise consequences will be disastrous. Save your child from stressful situations till this age.

You can maintain discipline at home. Develop an environment and act positively according to the desired discipline.  The advice doesn’t work at this age. A child has not the ability to register in his mind anything on ethical grounds.  A child possesses observational skills, he will absorb your behaviors.

The most dangerous thing is to keep your child in stress for the first stage of 7 years of his life.

It is equally applicable to schools as well. There is a hormone of fight and flight in our body called Cortisol.  We are endowed with this fight and flight mode to save ourselves in case of emergency. Blood shifts to the eyes to wide open the pupils; glucose leaves the liver to join muscles to make you run; blood supply increases in muscles but decreases in the brain, liver, and kidney. The functions of growth and development are secondary at this critical moment. Safety comes first.

Whenever we create a stressful environment for our child we push him into the environment of Cortisol. A child becomes a child, who is facing danger all the time. There is no standard of morality or immorality for a child at the age of seven.  Create and establish discipline and a challenging environment. Create lovable environs.
